I’ve just found a beer and am now sitting with it, decompressing in my seat on the Shinkansen, Japan’s bullet train that’s taking most of the F1 paddock back to Tokyo, after a very bizarre day at Suzuka.
The forecast coming into the weekend predicted the odd shower for race day, but it was pretty evident on Sunday morning that this was going to be a long and wet afternoon. And so it proved, more than most could have possibly guessed.
